Use a map program and look up West Alexander PA (15376). This will get you to within a few miles of the farm and I will give you the exact directions a few days before your visit along with contact information because the map programs seem to fall apart for those last few miles. My directions will start from  (exit 1 off I70) West Alexander.

Prices are as indicated and are not subject to negotiation.

I understand not everyone wants show animals, and I will work very hard to match the buyer to the right animal for their needs. I strongly encourage wethers for beginners as they are a cheap start into goats and are great to find out what the animals are really like before jumping in with both feet. I don't recommend large starter herds as they are immediate work and unless you are experienced with livestock, it can be an expensive nightmare. I think good quality, mid priced goats are best for the average beginner.  You must have at least two goats as they are herd animals, but I think a nice start is 3-5 animals (if you are jumping right into a breeding herd). 2 is fine for a pet herd.

If you are buying from me and would be willing to transport for other buyers to help split costs, please let me know.

Goats for sale 2008

Wethers

Black yearling  wether with incredible fleece out of top notch show stock  (both parents were champion winners) Possible show prospect for  4-H $75

(hold for Amy)

The buck kids are listed under the bucks section. Most of those I will wether upon request and full payment by the buyer. All the bucks we will have for sale this year are listed.

Does

Phoenix: This special doe is one of my show does. Her kid this year was very, very nice. This doe has a nice fleece that is soft and uniform and she is covered well. She has done well in the show ring as well as doing well on the farm. Her breeding is mostly Mohare farms and Dry Creek Naturals as well as Isa Jenning's line. She is a special goat. $550

Milan: Her lines are Coon Hollow and Isa Jenning's for the most part. She is CAGBA registered and one of my show goats. She has very nice luster, soft, uniform locks and coverage from nose to toes. I am keeping her daughter, so she is offered for sale. She is a very nice doe that will add a lot to the right herd.

$550

Willow: CAGBA registered. This doe has nice coverage and nice lock and soft fleece. She has a moon spot on her shoulder and she has produced patterns for me. She has a lot of Mohare farm breeding in her pedigree.  She's a very nice little doe and has been a good producer and dam. $350

Tibet: CAGBA registered, this young doe is one of the neater goats in the herd. She is pinto patterned with ticking and frosting and badger stripes. She is very cool sheared because you can really see her pattern then. She gave me the neatest buck this year (a black pinto with ice blue eyes), so being that I am down sizing the herd, I thought I would offer her for sale. She is producing patterns with dominant goats and is a proven producer/dam.  Her fleece is soft and good lock, she has nice coverage and is just a nice medium size doe. She will make a really neat addition to the right herd. $500

CAGBA registered doe: Smaller gray/black yearling doe. Very nice coverage and soft fleece. Would make a nice doe for a cross to Pygmy or Nigerian goat or a nice pet or fiber animal. $300

(waiting for deposit-Barb)

Carmen's blue eyed red doe: Carmen always has nice kids. She has never disappointed me and most have gone into the ring and done very well. This year's kids are out of Tejus and the pairing seems to be very good. I am drastically cutting my herd size or this doe would have been kept, as it is, it  was a hard decision to sell her. Both parents are big goats with good bodies and both she and her brother look like they are going to be outstanding all around with good fleece and good body. $400

Ireland's doe kid: Out of two really nice show goats this little doe is really promising. Her fleece is very soft so far and she is nicely covered and the fleece is coming in nicely so far. Both her parents are dark so I think she will carry good color.  Sire: Nepal

$425

Babydoll: CAGBA color factored white kid with blue eyes. This little doe is VERY friendly. Her fleece is really soft . Her dam is a registered white and her sire is Tejus.  Possible package deal with the dam (dam is older doe). Her sister is faded red so this doe should produce colored kids. $150

(hold for Amy)

Blue eyed medium red CAGBA doe kid. Sire is Tejus. This little girl is just beautiful. She is very soft looks uniform and has great coverage. I think she is going to be a very nice doe. Tejus is sire. $450

Allisa: CAGBA Blue eyed, red show goat with exceptional coverage and very good size. Her fleece is very nice with uniform locks and soft fine ringlets. This doe was always one of my favorites. She kidded a med/dark brown buck kid for her first kidding this year and did fine as a mother. Her dam is the biggest doe in my herd and my favorite doe as far as quality. Her sire was Mohare Farms Cooper, a nice well covered red buck. It is a really nice combination and her kid this year is really nice. She will add a lot to a herd.  $400

Birth date: 3/27/05

Bi

#399: CAGBA 2 year old black doe available now for $250. She is a big doe with fine fleece and VERY good breeding, but she does have a nubbin on her teat. This doesn't interfere with nursing, but being a flaw I wanted to point it out. Her kids have been beautiful and I will post pictures of them soon.

(this isn't a very flattering picture of her, she is much nicer than this, but until she grows fleece back, this is all I have)

Pixie: Medium red doe . Her dam was Supreme Champion at SAFF and her sire was a very nice red buck with excellent fleece and coverage. Pixie has a really nice fleece with losts of luster. She have extra teats, but she is a VERY good doe. She is an excellent mother and easy kidder. $300. Pictured as a yearling, she is sheared at the moment, so this is the best picture I have right now. Born 12/29/2004

(pictured as a yearling)

Promise: CAGBA red doe with blue marble eyes. She is a big powerful doe with good body and VERY fine fleece. She is an easy kidder and great mother. Born 1/4/2005. Available May after kids are weaned.  $300

(sale pending)

Suzy: Excellent show goat with fine uniform fleece and strong body. She is full sister to a Supreme Champion winning doe in our herd. Personality is very sweet and friendly. Medium sized proven doe with an excellent pedigree. $500 available after weaning her kids. Born 2/16/04

Tansy: CAGBA black doe born 2/10/03. This dense fleeced, friendly doe is a retired show goat. Excellent pedigree. She is a very good mother and has a lot to offer. She is nice through the body with good coverage and very nice personality. $350 after kid is weaned

Her dam is the darkest in my flock and Tansy's kid this year is a VERY dark brown doe so if you are looking to improve color, this doe is a good choice!

Virginia: CAGBA black doe born 2006. This doe is from my 2007 show circuit and has a very nice uniform fleece. She is a very nice goat and has produced very nice kids. Medium sized doe. $495 after kids are weaned. (Pictured as a yearling)

White color factored CAGBA yearling doe. This doe has a nice fleece but she is small. She would be a good choice for crossing to Nigerian or pygmy goats or as a pet. $100

(waiting for deposit-Barb)

Maia: CAGBA color factored white yearling doe. Her dam has consistently thrown show goats for me and it was a hard choice between keeping her and her sister. She is going to be a nice brood doe. She is well covered and has a very nice fleece. $150 sold

I'll post other doe kids as I make my choices for my herd. There will not be any black doe kids available this year, but there will be several reds and possibly a white.

Bucks

Tejus: Three year old. Good show career, proven producer. Big buck with plenty of bone. Blue eyes add to the package. His kids have had very nice fleece and he is throwing nice color. His sire was the first CAGBA National Champion buck. His lines include Mitcham and Ross (SA- AAGBA white). He is a nice outcross for most herds. He is a very special buck.  $475

Dallas: Black 2 year old buck , full coverage, soft and uniform. Mohare farms breeding. Excellent lines. $350

Ares: CAGBA black show quality yearling buck. This big bodied, proper buck has a nice locked, fine fleece with nice  coverage. He is out of one my top grand champion show does who has been a great producer for me. I had intended to keep this guy, but have so many bucks right now I need to part with some. He should be a very good herdsire. $500 (pending)

He is sheared right now, but will post a picture when in fleece.

Promise Red bucklings: Promise has very fine fleece and blue marble eyes. She is a big doe. She had twin bucks this year. Both boys seem soft and well covered. There is a medium red buck that will be $300 as a buck or $75 as a wether.  She had a light taupe buck that will be $250 as a buck or $60 as a wether. Pictures coming. Tejus is sire.

(hold for Amy)

Angie Red Bucklings: Angie is a really good doe. She had twin bucks this year. Angie has a big body and soft proper fleece. She is just an all around good animal. I kept her buck from last year.  Red/brown medium toned buckling is $350 for buck or $75 for wether. Light taupe buckling is $325 as a buck or $60 as a wether. Both boys seem soft and well covered.  Tejus is sire.

Willow black buckling: Willow is a medium sized well covered doe with a white spot on her shoulder. I kept her kid from last year and like what I see in her so far. Willow is Mohare farms and Dry Creek Naturals breeding. He seems like he is going to be a very nice little buck. Her black buck is $350 as a buck. Pictures coming. Fox is sire.

(hold for Lisa)

Sweetie red bucks: Sweetie is a wonderful big bodied doe with an incredible spring of rib and has produced some of the best goats in my herd. This is year is the first time any of her offspring have been offered for sale. Both these kids are well covered and are growing well. Dark red buckling is big boned and so far deep bright red. I think he will probably be show quality and will make a very good herdsire. He is $450 as a buck and $75 as a wether. His brother is medium taupe colored with blue marble eyes. A big boned boy he shows a lot of promise. He is $350 as a buck. The blue eyed buck is taking a bottle as well as the dam and may leave at any time to an experienced goat home.   Tejus is sire.

Can you make money on goats? This is a question that I am sure all producers are frequently asked. I have always tried to answer that question truthfully. This link will explain the answer. This is a Boer site, but the information applies to all livestock. http://whitehousegoats.com/money.html

General sales information

Package deals are only offered on groups of 5 or more goats. Please do not ask for any discount for less than 5 goats as I have put a lot of money and work into this herd and always try to keep my prices fair.

The average price I have paid for my breeding stock is $500 + and I have paid a great deal more for some of the special animals here.  Our herd originated from some of the best colored and AAGBA herds in the country. We are very particular in our own purchases. We try very hard to offer superior quality at a very good price to our customers.

There is no 4-H discount for breeding animals, however, I do offer special 4-H offers on wethers, so if you are in 4-H and would like to buy a wether, please email me about the details.

Repeat customers in good standing are offered preference
